Music Makers Instrumental Prep


4 years to 7 years

Music Makers at Home (age 4-5) 

Music literacy is developed through song, musical games, circle dances and movement to express music and stories. Your child's musical ear and voice develop as we explore the neighborhood habitats: My Home Place & Woodlands. By the end of the school year, your child will be reading and writing rhythms and tonal patterns!

Musikgarten materials included: two sets of cultural folders, each with a digital music file and notation cards. 

 

Music Makers Around the World (ages 5-6)

This class prepares your child for playing piano, band or orchestral instruments in the near future. Students sequentially build music literacy through singing, instrument ensembles including: glockenspiels, resonator bars, keyboard and rhythm instruments. Your child's musical ear and voice develop as we explore cultures through music, stories, famous people and dances. We begin our musical journey by exploring the British Isles, then Amerindians culture, through music and movement.

Description

This class prepares your child for playing piano, band, or orchestral instruments in the near future. Students sequentially build music literacy through singing, instrument ensembles including: glockenspiels, resonator bars, keyboard, and rhythm instruments. By the end of the school year, your child will be reading and writing rhythms and tonal patterns.

Materials include two sets of poster folders, each with a digital music file, instrument or song pages and notation cards that supplement the learning in the classroom.

Try Us!

For the families that want to try our program but are not ready to commit to a full 15 week semester, we do offer 1/2 Session. Families can try the class for 8 weeks and receive the materials. After the 8 weeks, there is the option to continue with the curriculum.  

Late registrations will be accepted after the start of the semester depending on available space. Please contact us for more information!
